I remember when I first saw a picture of the F698. When the screen is rotated, it sits horizontal over the keypad / bottom of the phone and forms a T. It was so intriguing that I had to get one just for the novelty factor alone. After using the phone for a while, I learned that yes, the rotating, flipping screen is very cool and makes watching TV and video much more pleasant, but this phone is loaded with other features that make it a stand out, even if you didn't consider the rotate feature.

Real Analog TV: Don't confuse the analog TV on this phone with the "TV out" feature of the CECT A988. TV out means that you can connect the phone to television and watch video on a larger screen. But you can't watch real time TV. Analog television allows you to watch local TV, in real time, via antenna, and the Flaying 698 has this. The reception is very good, even indoors, and the picture and sound are very sharp.

Loaded With Features, But Camera Is The Standout: This phone has all of the bells and whistles we've come to expect from the imports, like: Bluetooth; dual sim standby (two phone numbers on one phone if you need it); MP3/ MP4; Bluetooth, web browsing, emailing, and texting; 2MB expandable memory; and a fully loaded 3.0 mega pixel digital camera / web cam.

I know the design of this phone gets it a lot of attention, but the camera on this one should not be overlooked. Most clones have a 1.3 MP camera. This one is 3.0 mega pixels with very advanced editing features. A camera this sharp on a TV phone / import in this price range is quite rare.

Compact Design / Features Appeal To Many: Also cool is how compact this phone becomes once you re-rotate the screen back to its original position and flip it down. This is one of the few true imported flip phones. When folded down, it is small enough to fit in a pocket and very light at only 125 grams.

This F mobile is tri band and supports GSM 900 / 1800/ 1900 MHz, which means it works with most carriers. (There are a few AT&T customers on the 850 band. Check with your provider to make sure.) This phone will read your sim card, so you don't need software or drivers.

I find that this phone appeals to a wide range of consumers, from students to commuters to parents who need to entertain small children. I really got this phone for the novelty of it and I didn't think I would use the TV much, but I really do. There are lots of times I find myself waiting and watching TV makes that a bit more bearable.

Price wise, this Flying model is running about 0 and up. This is a bit more than the standard clones, but the design, TV, and very high quality camera make this worth the higher price in my opinion.
